Because this device is a 2-in-1 detachable, installing the correct drivers is critical for features like the detachable keyboard, touch screen, and automatic screen rotation to work properly.

2. MyASUS Application (If Windows is Already Running)

If your T101H still boots into Windows, the pre-installed MyASUS app can automatically detect missing drivers. Open MyASUS > Customer Support > Live Update. This is the easiest method for non-technical users.

Problem 1: Touchscreen Stops Working After Windows Update

Windows Update often replaces the ASUS touchscreen driver with a generic Microsoft HID driver. Because this device is a 2-in-1 detachable, installing

Fix:

  1. Open Device Manager > Human Interface Devices.
  2. Look for HID-compliant touch screen.
  3. Right-click > Properties > Driver tab > Roll Back Driver.
  4. If grayed out, select Update Driver > Browse my computer > Let me pick > Choose ASUS Touchscreen Driver.

Method 3: Silent Install via Command Line (Advanced)

Some ASUS drivers can be installed without a GUI. Open Command Prompt as Administrator and navigate to the driver folder. Use: Use Double Driver (freeware) to export all current

pnputil -i -a *.inf

This is useful if the standard installer crashes.

Touch Screen Not Working

  1. Go to Device Manager.
  2. Expand Human Interface Devices.
  3. Look for HID-compliant touch screen. If it is missing, check under "Unknown Devices" or install the Intel Serial IO Driver mentioned above.
