Mhhauto - Autodata
Guide: AutoData & MHH AUTO – Diagnostic Data & Community Resources
Typical use case
- You have a 2012 Audi A3 with an intermittent electrical fault.
- AutoData gives you the exact ECU pinout, CAN bus topology, and expected resistance values.
Best For
- Shops specializing in older European cars
- Mechanics who need offline wiring diagrams
- Estimating labor times for insurance/jobs
Weaknesses ❌
- Interface – Looks like Windows 98. Clunky search; takes time to learn navigation.
- No US/Asian brands – Useless for Ford, GM, Toyota, Honda, etc.
- Updates – Discontinued around 2018–2020 (last versions: AutoData 10.0 / 10.6). Newer cars not covered.
- Piracy common – Legitimate licenses are rare/expensive; most users run cracked versions (risky).

- [ ] Create an MHH AUTO account and introduce yourself in the “New members” section.
- [ ] Download a reputable antivirus (e.g., Bitdefender free) and scan every downloaded
.exe or .dll.
- [ ] For wiring diagrams specifically, also consider official OEM portals (BMW TIS, Mercedes WIS) – sometimes cheaper short-term.
