1. Introduction & Scope

The BECSys5 is a modular building energy control system designed for HVAC, lighting, and auxiliary load management. This manual covers hardware installation, network configuration, controller addressing, and core technical parameters for system integrators and certified technicians.

Prerequisites:

• BECSys5 Site Controller (firmware v5.2.x or later)
• Pre-commissioned Ethernet backbone (10/100/1000 Base-T)
• 24 VAC Class 2 power supply for field devices
• ESD grounding wrist strap
