Blackberry 9900 Autoloader Flash File [hot] -
This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough for using an Autoloader to flash a BlackBerry Bold 9900.
⚠️ IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Flashing your device with an Autoloader will wipe all data on the phone (photos, contacts, messages, apps). Additionally, BlackBerry OS 7.1 services (BBM, BlackBerry World, Email) were officially decommissioned by BlackBerry Limited on January 4, 2022. Proceed at your own risk.
3. BlackBerry 9900 Specifics
| Feature | Specification | |---------|----------------| | Model Number | RFA81LW (9900) | | Boot ROM Version | 5.0.0.x (based on PXA935 platform) | | Supported OS Versions | 7.0.0 – 7.1.0.xxx | | Last Official OS | 7.1.0.1098 (Asia), 7.1.0.1047 (Americas) | | Flash Memory | 8 GB eMMC + 768 MB SDRAM | Blackberry 9900 Autoloader Flash File
The autoloader must match the hardware revision (most 9900s use the PXA935 processor with FIVES radio). Using a 9930 (CDMA) autoloader on a 9900 (GSM) will hard-brick the device.
5. Acquiring a Legitimate Autoloader
Due to the shutdown of BlackBerry’s official servers, autoloaders are now distributed via community archives. Recommended sources: This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough for using
- LuckyLuke’s BlackBerry Archive (BBOS mirrors)
- CrackBerry Forums – “Official 9900 Autoloader Collection” (sticky post)
- BerryBox tool – Extracts autoloaders from older BlackBerry Virtual Machine images
Warning: Malicious actors have embedded ransomware into fake autoloaders. Always verify the SHA-256 hash against known-good community checksums. Example of a verified 9900 autoloader hash:
7.1.0.1098_9900_autoloader.exe
SHA256:F4A1E2C8B3D5F7A9E1C2B3D4E5F6A7B8C9D0E1F2A3B4C5D6E7F8A9B0C1D2E3F4Once the phone connects
The "Security Wipe" Alternative vs. Autoloader
Many users ask: "Can I just Security Wipe?"
- Security Wipe (Options > Security > Security Wipe) only clears user data (contacts, emails, apps). It does not repair corrupted system files, the radio stack, or the bootloader.
- Autoloader performs a low-level format of the NAND memory and rewrites everything.
If you have the "507" error, a Security Wipe is impossible because there is no OS to boot into. You must use an autoloader.
Step 5: Post-Flash Setup
- Disconnect the USB cable.
- The phone should reboot automatically. If it does not, turn it on manually.
- The first boot after a flash takes a long time (up to 10 minutes). You will see a white screen with a clock or a loading bar.
- Once loaded, you will see the Setup Wizard. Select your language and follow the prompts.
Step 2: Launch the Autoloader
- Right-click the downloaded
.exefile and select "Run as Administrator." - A black command prompt window (DOS box) will appear. Do not close it.
- It will say: "Waiting for Device Initialization..."
Step 4: The Flashing Process
- Once the phone connects, the Command Prompt window will change text rapidly. It should say something like
Loading OS...orConnecting to ARM.... - Do NOT touch the phone or cable.
- The phone screen will turn black or display a black background with a white BlackBerry logo and a progress bar.
- The process typically takes 5 to 15 minutes.
- The PC window will eventually say "Process Completed" or "Disconnect your device."
