Corruption: Of Champions 2 Chest Puzzle [updated]

Corruption of Champions 2 — Chest Puzzle: Complete Report

Type 3: The Memory (Simon Says) Puzzle

Flavor Text: "A childish, mocking voice echoes from the chest: 'Watch closely, mortal.' A sequence of colored gems flashes: Red, Blue, Green, Gold, Purple."

The Logic: Pure pattern memorization. The chest flashes a sequence of 4 to 6 symbols. You must repeat the sequence back perfectly. corruption of champions 2 chest puzzle

The Solution:

Difficulty: The memory puzzle is the only one that scales with your character's level. At level 1, it's 4 symbols. At level 6+, it can be 6 symbols with false flashes. Corruption of Champions 2 — Chest Puzzle: Complete

B. The Solution

  1. Find sheet music or listen to a melody in the area.
  2. The notes correspond to keys on the interface.
  3. Sequence: If the melody is "Do-Re-Mi," the player must click the corresponding keys in that order.
    • Note: In CoC2, this is often simplified; the player selects "Play the Melody" if they have passed a skill check. If manual input is required, the clues are usually visual (symbols on the wall matching symbols on the keys).

III. The "Old House" / Hawkethorne Cellar Puzzle

Early in the game, players may encounter a chest in the Old House basement or the cellars of Hawkethorne. Do not rely on your short-term memory alone

The Preamble – The Hints

If you have a high Perception skill (or are simply observant), your character will note that the stone floor around the chest contains lever slots. Further inspection reveals four levers hidden elsewhere in the Harrowing Reach. The puzzle’s only in-game hint comes from examining the chest repeatedly: “The sigils pulse in a rhythm... red, then blue, then green, then yellow.”

Most players miss this initial color order because they are too busy fighting off spider swarms. Do not skip the text.
