Everycircuit Manual

EveryCircuit is an interactive circuit simulator that visualizes voltage waveforms and current flows in real time. While it does not have a single official printed manual, its functionality is documented through tutorials, community help, and built-in examples. Core Interface & Navigation

Workspace: A digital "breadboard" with a grid system for component placement. everycircuit manual

Toolbar Commands: The "book" icon opens the Examples Library, a critical resource for searching pre-designed circuits and understanding concepts. The Control Buttons

Parameter Adjustment: Click a component and use the wrench icon to open the adjustment dial. You can rotate this dial or use the "+" and "-" signs for fine-tuning values like resistance or voltage. Play (Start Simulation): Charges begin flowing

Simulation Control: A single play/pause button manages the real-time simulation. You can also interact with components while it runs, such as flipping switches or adjusting potentiometers. Building Circuits EveryCircuit - Apps on Google Play

The Control Buttons

  1. Play (Start Simulation): Charges begin flowing. Voltages become colored (Red = Positive, Blue = Negative, Green = Zero).
  2. Pause (Stop Simulation): Freezes the circuit. Great for taking screenshots or analyzing a specific state.
  3. Reset: Resets all capacitors to zero voltage and inductors to zero current.

Part 1: Getting Started – The Interface

Before you build a circuit, you must understand the cockpit. EveryCircuit is designed to feel tactile, but the icons are dense with information.

Simulation Speed

Located next to the play button. Sliding to the right speeds up time (good for watching a capacitor charge slowly). Sliding left slows down time (good for watching high-frequency oscillators).
