What is a Feed and Grow Fish Save File?
Before we get our fins wet, let’s define what a save file actually is. In Feed and Grow Fish (developed by Old B1ood and published by Green Man Gaming Publishing), your local progress is stored in a specific folder on your computer (usually your Local Disk - C: drive).
This file contains:
- Unlocked Fish: Which species (Kobudai, Manta Ray, Shark, Megalodon, etc.) you have purchased with in-game coins.
- Stats: Level progress, speed, bite force, and health upgrades.
- High Scores: Your best fish weight and survival time in Free Mode.
- Achievements: In-game challenge progress.
The game does not rely heavily on an external server for single-player progress. This means that your save file is purely local. This is both a blessing (easy to edit) and a curse (easy to lose).
