The gallery is deeply committed to slow fashion. Over 60% of their collection is made from deadstock fabric (leftover rolls from larger manufacturers that would otherwise go to landfill). They partner with small, family-owned workshops in Mexico and Peru, paying above fair-trade wages.
Additionally, the Hermana Take-Back Program allows you to return any Grabe mi hermana item when you're done with it. The gallery then repairs, restyles, and resells it under the "Renacer" (Rebirth) label, with 10% of proceeds going to women's literacy programs.
