Greenluma Tutorial: Unlocking Steam Apps Locally

Method A: Using the Greenluma Executable Error 4: DLC is Unlocked but Not Showing In-Game

  1. Close the official Steam client completely (check Task Manager to ensure no Steam processes are running).
  2. Double-click Greenluma.exe inside your game folder.
  3. A command prompt window may open briefly. Greenluma acts as the emulator, and the game should launch.

  1. Rename Greenluma.dll to steam_api.dll or steam_api64.dll (depending on whether the game is 32-bit or 64-bit).
    • Tip: Check if there is already a steam_api.dll in the folder. If so, rename the original to steam_api_o.dll as a backup before pasting Greenluma.
  2. Launch the game using its normal executable. The game will load the modified DLL, bypassing the Steam check.

How to use GLM:

  1. Download GLM from its official GitHub repository.
  2. Run GreenLuma Manager.exe. It will ask for your Steam installation path.
  3. Click "Add Game" and paste the App ID.
  4. Tick "Unlock DLCs" and select them from a dropdown list (populated live from SteamDB).
  5. Click "Launch Steam with GreenLuma."

GLM automates the creation of the AppList folder, which GreenLuma Reborn uses to store multiple configurations. This is the recommended method for 2024-2025 users because it automatically updates the DLC list.


Step 3: Configure the Settings

  1. Run GreenLumaSettings_2020.exe as Administrator.
  2. A command prompt will appear asking for inputs. You will see an interface like:
    • [1] Unlock all DLCs
    • [2] Unlock specific DLCs
    • [3] Unlock specific apps (Games)
  3. Select option 3 (Specific Apps).
  4. Enter the App ID of the game you wish to unlock. Press Enter.
  5. If you have DLC, enter the DLC IDs next. Press 0 to finish.
  6. The tool will generate GreenLuma_2020.ini and DLC.txt.

Example: To add Stardew Valley (App ID 413150) with no DLC, you type 413150, then 0.
