Default path:
C:\Users\<YourUserName>\Documents\My Games\Grid Autosave\<user_id>\savegame\

<user_id>folder is a long numeric string (Steam ID). - Inside, you’ll see files like
savegame.bakandsavegame.dat.
Tip: Copy the entire <user_id> folder to back up everything.

⚠️ Important:
- Make sure the same Steam account is logged in.
- Keep Steam Cloud disabled until you confirm the save loads correctly, then re-enable it and let it upload your progress.
Step-by-Step Backup (PC)
- Navigate to the
savegamefolder above. - Right-click the folder → Copy.
- Paste it to a safe location: external drive, Dropbox, or a dedicated “Backup_Saves” folder on your desktop.
- Rename the copy with the date, e.g.,
savegame_backup_2025-04-01.
Backing Up Saves (recommended)
- Exit Grid Autosport and close Steam.
- Copy the entire save folder to a safe location (external drive, cloud storage, or a dated folder).
- Example folders to copy:
