Technical Brilliance: Direction and Music

Directed by the original series’ fan-favorite director, Ek Jashn Episode 1 is visually stunning. The lighting is warmer than the original show’s cold blues and harsh whites. The background score reintroduces the classic “Sansar” theme but remixed into a soothing orchestral piece. Every Khushi chirp and every Arnav growl is accompanied by subtle sound design that triggers pure nostalgia.

Costume design deserves special mention: Barun Sobti’s Arnav still owns tailored suits, but now with a loosened tie and rolled sleeves—signifying his relaxed control. Sanaya Irani’s Khushi wears elegant sarees but with her signature mismatched jhumkas—rebellion in grace.
