“Emulator won’t launch from Big Box”

- Run the installer and follow on-screen prompts.
- Open LaunchBox, go to Help > Activate.
- Enter your License Key (sent to your email) and click Activate.

❌ Stick with the Free version if:
- You only have 50-100 games.
- You play exclusively on your desktop monitor using a mouse & keyboard.
- You are fine with text lists and basic box art.
- You are using a Raspberry Pi (use RetroPie instead).
Cloud Saves (Premium feature)
- Enable cloud saves: Options > Cloud Sync > Enable.
- Configure cloud folder (e.g., Dropbox/Google Drive path).
- Ensure savegame paths match emulator save locations.
- Test by saving in-game, then verify file appears in cloud folder.
Key Big Box Features:
- Custom Themes: The community has created hundreds of themes. Want a Nintendo Switch-style horizontal grid? A PlayStation 5-inspired carousel? A minimalistic text list? Big Box supports them all.
- Platform Categories: You can group consoles (Nintendo, Sega, Sony) into wheels, with dynamic background transitions.
- Attract Mode: Turn your gaming PC into an arcade cabinet. When idle, Big Box randomly scrolls through your games, plays gameplay videos, and shuffles background music. It’s hypnotic for parties.
- Touch & Mouse Support: Works seamlessly on tablets, arcade cabinets (with trackballs), or standard touchscreens.
The Verdict: For users building an arcade cabinet, a living room RetroPie alternative, or a dedicated handheld (like the Windows-based AYANEO or Steam Deck), Big Box alone justifies the Premium price.
