Update fails to apply / stuck at an update ID:
- Ensure network access to McAfee update servers or local repository.
- Check disk space and permissions for the update cache.
- Clear the Agent/Client update cache and retry.

Service won’t start after upgrade:
- Check event logs (Windows Event Viewer / syslog) for service errors.
- Confirm dependent services (McAfee Framework/Agent) are running.
- Reinstall the affected ENS modules or roll back if available.

DAT/engine version mismatches:
- Synchronize ePO repository or force an update via the client’s update utility.
- Verify policies are not preventing updates.

Conflicts with other security products:
- Remove conflicting antivirus/firewall products before full ENS install.
- Use McAfee’s cleanup tools if remnants of other products remain.
