Mac Operating Systems
- Mac OS X 10.x: Mutoh plotters typically utilize the standard CUPS driver system. Please refer to the installation guide below for Mac setup using the "USB" or "IP" printing protocol.

Mutoh does not always sell direct. Your region may have a master distributor: Mac Operating Systems
- USA: Mutoh America (mutoh.com). You need a reseller account or basic registration to access the download area.
- Europe: Mutoh Europe (mutoh.eu).
- Contact your reseller: If you bought the SC 650 used, the original reseller often has archived driver files.
⚙️ Recommended Cutting Software Settings
The Mutoh SC-650 is a workhorse plotter, but getting the right cut quality requires setting the correct parameters in your software (such as FlexiSIGN, SignLab, or Cutting Master).

- Communication Port: USB (or COM port if using a serial adapter).
- Baud Rate: 9600 (Standard)
- Parity: None
- Flow Control: Hardware (RTS/CTS)
- Language: HP-GL (Hewlett-Packard Graphics Language)
Step 1: Preparation
- Do not connect the USB cable yet. Wait until the driver installation prompts you to do so.
- Ensure the SC-650 is powered on and has performed its self-test (reset) cycle.
- Download the driver file from the links above and unzip/extract the folder to your desktop.
