After finishing B1, I decided to stick with the Netzwerk series and move on to Netzwerk B2 Kursbuch. A few observations after the first few chapters:

• Topics get much more abstract (media, science, social engagement) — great for real B2 discussions
• Clear focus on Textproduktion und Diskussion
• Grammar review is integrated, not isolated — perfect for revisiting things like erweiterte Nebensätze, Konjunktiv I (indirekte Rede), Nominalstil
• The Testtraining sections after every two chapters are lifesavers for exam prep (Goethe/Telc B2)

⚠️ What to watch out for:

• The jump from B1 to B2 is real. Vocabulary load increased fast.
• Some listening tasks feel faster than actual exam speeds — good training, but don’t panic at first
• You really need the Übungsbuch + Intensivtrainer if you want enough repetition

Fazit: Solid coursebook, especially if you already used Netzwerk A2–B1. Works best in a class or with a tandem partner for the speaking tasks.
