Step 2 – Compare the Downloaded Database with Original

Open both files in HxD. Scroll to offset 0x2000 – 0x5000. The first 16 bytes should be similar; if not, the downloaded file is for another phone.

Step 2 – Extract IMEI using Maui META

  • Boot phone to META mode (Vol Down + Power, then connect USB).
  • Maui META → IMEI download → read current.

Error 1: S_BROM_DOWNLOAD_DA_FAIL (0x13BE)

  • Cause: Wrong DA file. MT6765 models with "BROM Lock" need a specific DA.
  • Fix: Search for MT6765_DA_PL_RL.bin. This is a "Preloader + Download Agent" combo that forces the handshake.

5.2 Flashing Procedure (Without Reformatting)

  1. Launch SP Flash Tool → Load scatter file.
  2. Uncheck everything except nvram and nvram_backup.
  3. For the nvram row, double-click and select your repacked .bin file.
  4. In the top menu: Choose Download Only (NOT Format All + Download).
  5. Power off your phone completely (remove battery if possible).
  6. Click Download → Connect USB cable.
  7. Watch for the red bar → purple → yellow. When done, you’ll see a green checkmark.
