Pes 6 Scoreboard Editor

Pes 6 Scoreboard Editor

The roar of the crowd, the distinct thwack of a boot connecting with a volley, and the pixelated realism of a late 2000s stadium. For many football purists, Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (PES 6) remains the undisputed king of football simulations. It captured a perfect balance between arcade fun and tactical depth that few sequels have managed to replicate.

However, for the dedicated modding community, the game’s longevity relies on evolution, not preservation. Central to this evolution is a niche but vital tool: the PES 6 Scoreboard Editor. pes 6 scoreboard editor

Problem 3: Team Names Are Misaligned (Too High / Too Low)

Cause: Font metrics or position offsets are wrong.
Fix: The roar of the crowd, the distinct thwack

  • In the editor, look for “Team name Y offset”.
  • Increase or decrease by 2-4 pixels at a time, test in game.

Step 5 – Reposition (If Needed)

Some scoreboards are designed for widescreen (16:9) but PES 6 originally used 4:3.
Use the Offset X and Offset Y sliders in the editor to move the entire block. In the editor, look for “Team name Y offset”

  • For 16:9 on a 4:3 screen, try X: -20 to -40 (centers the scoreboard).
  • For ultrawide mods, you may need to leave as-is.

Step 1 – Locate and Extract the Original Files

  • Open AFS Explorer, load 0_text.afs from your PES 6 dat folder.
  • Find unnamed_46.bin to unnamed_50.bin.
  • Extract them to a folder named Original_Scoreboard.

4.1 Designing the Artwork

Open Photoshop/GIMP with these specs:

  • Canvas: 512x128 pixels (for main scoreboard).
  • Background: Use any color you like – but designate one specific color for transparency (e.g., pure magenta #FF00FF).
  • Text areas: Leave blank or use placeholder text. The game engine will render team names and scores over these zones.
  • Borders/Shadows: Keep them within the canvas; don’t rely on alpha layers (the game ignores PNG alpha – it only uses indexed transparency).

Step 1 – Extract the Scoreboard BIN

  1. Open DKZ Studio → File → Open → browse to 0_text.afs.
  2. Find unnamed_54.bin (use search or browse).
  3. Right-click → Export → save as unnamed_54.bin to a folder.

Part 2: Tools You Will Need

| Tool | Purpose | |------|---------| | Game Graphic Studio (GGS) | Extract/replace textures inside .bin files | | DKZ Studio | Open 0_text.afs and import/export .bin files | | Photoshop / GIMP | Edit textures (keep transparent backgrounds) | | PES 6 Scoreboard Server (optional) | Load scoreboards without editing AFS files |

📌 Download from classic PES modding sites (e.g., PES-Patch, Evo-Web).
