Part IV: The First 5 Minutes – A Quakprep Script

When the shaking starts, your brain will release adrenaline. You will not be able to "think." You can only execute muscle memory. Program this script now.

Seconds 0-15 (The Shake):

• Do not run. Running in a quake leads to being impaled by falling glass.
• Drop to your hands and knees.
• Cover your neck with one hand and crawl to a heavy table.
• Hold on to the leg of the table. The table will move. You move with it.

Seconds 15-60 (The Aftershock Lull):

• Check for "The Big Three": Gas smell (explosion risk), major structural crack in the wall (evacuate), fire (extinguish or flee).
