Rappelz Magus Build
The Magus is the Master Class of the Druid in Rappelz, serving as a versatile hybrid capable of high burst magical damage, effective self-healing, and critical party support. Whether you are focused on solo farming or endgame dungeon crawling, a proper build revolves around maximizing Magic Attack (M.Atk) and leveraging unique passives that convert secondary stats into offensive power. Core Attributes and Stat Priority
The Magus relies on two main stats to drive its damage and survivability:
Intelligence (Int): Your primary offensive stat, increasing Max MP and M.Atk (1 Int = 2 M.Atk).
Vitality (Vit): Essential for survivability in high-level dungeons, providing HP and P.Def.
Wisdom (Wis): Crucial for Magic Accuracy (M.Acc) to ensure your spells don't miss high-level mobs. Optimal Weapon Choices
Choosing a weapon for a Magus depends on which passive you prioritize: rappelz magus build
Mace (One-Handed) + Shield/Magic Wall: This is the most popular endgame choice due to the Cyclone's Lord Blessing passive, which converts 10% of your Physical Attack (P.Atk) into M.Atk per level. It offers high damage and increased survivability through a shield.
Staff (Two-Handed): A powerful alternative for "pure nuker" builds. The Flamemonger passive converts 75% of your Intelligence into M.Atk per level, making high-Int staff builds extremely potent for burst damage. Top Tier Skills
Tectonic Spike: Your primary high-damage Master Class (TP) skill. It provides massive AoE (Area of Effect) burst damage.
Bleak Squall: A hybrid skill that deals both physical and magical damage while applying a 30% slow to enemies.
Cyclone's Lord Blessing: The cornerstone of mace-wielding builds, converting P.Atk and Max MP into bonus M.Atk. The Magus is the Master Class of the
Healing Gust: A strong AoE heal that allows you to sustain yourself and your party during difficult encounters. Belt Setup & Soul Stones
A well-optimized belt is critical for capping necessary stats:
Mage/Hybrid Setup: 3x White Dragon (Int/Vit/M.Atk) and 2x Kenta (Str/P.Atk) is a standard high-performance configuration.
Tanky Setup: For difficult content, consider 3x Wisdom/M.Acc pets and 2x Vitality/P.Def pets.
Boss Card: Mephisto is widely recommended across all builds for its raw damage boost. Mage-type pets (Fairy, Pixie)
Soul Stones: Focus on Intelligence for damage or Vitality for a safer "balanced" build. Avoid going full glass cannon unless you have high-end gear to back it up. Recommended Pets
As a Magus has no pet-specific passives, pets are used for pure utility:
Blue Pixie: A versatile choice providing consistent heals and magic-based support.
Mecha-types (e.g., Abby/Aurumis): These are highly recommended for their Spare Parts skill, which provides life-saving self and owner heals.
Harpy: Excellent for solo farming due to its ranged capabilities and useful Unity.
Do NOT use:
- Mage-type pets (Fairy, Pixie). You will both die instantly to AoE.
- Attack pets (Wind Rider). You cannot out-DPS the aggro you generate.
Gameplay tips
- Keep distance; kiting is central. Use CC defensively.
- Pull with AoE, burst elites with single-target rotation.
- Manage MP: use potions, mana regen passives, or rest between pulls when necessary.
- In groups, focus on DPS while using buffs and CC as needed.
- When leveling, AoE + movement speed helps clear quickly.
Part 1: Racial Choice – Deva, Asura, or Gaia?
Before you even pick up a staff, you must choose your race. While the Magus class functions similarly across races, slight nuances exist.
- Deva (Human): The "vanilla" choice. Deva Magi gain passive bonuses to INT and MP regeneration. They are the best choice for new players due to balanced growth.
- Asura (Dark Elf): The min-max choice. Asura receive innate bonuses to Magic Critical Hit Rate and Magic Attack. For a burst DPS Magus, this is statistically superior. Recommendation for Hardcore players.
- Gaia (Panda/Beast): The tanky mage. Gaia offers higher HP pools and defensive stats. This is an off-meta choice, but viable for a "Battle Magus" in small-scale PvP.
Verdict: For the standard DPS Magus, Asura is the king of the hill.
Passives (Max These)
- Magical Attack Mastery: Increases Magic Attack. Mandatory.
- Magical Precision: Increases Magic Accuracy. Mandatory so bosses don't resist your spells.
- Spellcasting Empowerment (Mental Strength): Increases MP pool.
- Staff Mastery: If you use a staff (most Magus do), this adds damage.
- Wear Robe Armor: Increases mana regen and cast speed slightly (depending on set bonuses).
