Sunmi P1 4g Firmware ((better)) May 2026

Sunmi P1 4G — Firmware Deep Write-Up

Q5: Where can I find the official firmware release notes?

A: Log into the Sunmi Partner Portal (partner.sunmi.com) → Device Management → P1 4G → Firmware History.

2. Where to Find Official Firmware

Sunmi does not host public OTA files on their main website. Use these official channels:

| Source | Availability | Best For | | :--- | :--- | :--- | | Sunmi Developer Center | (dev.sunmi.com) – Requires login | SDK, Tools, and release notes | | Sunmi Tech Support Portal | Partner/Reseller access only | Full recovery ROMs | | Over-the-Air (OTA) | Device Settings → System Update | End-users (recommended) | | Authorized Distributors | Email request | Batch updates & downgrades | Sunmi P1 4g Firmware

🛑 Avoid unknown firmware from forums. Counterfeit or modified firmware can brick the secure element (SE) used for payments.

Method 1: The Standard OTA Update (Recommended)

For most users, the safest and easiest way to update the firmware is via Over-The-Air (OTA) updates. This ensures you are installing a stable, official version meant for your specific hardware revision. Sunmi P1 4G — Firmware Deep Write-Up Q5:

Steps to Update:

  1. Ensure your Sunmi P1 is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
  2. Navigate to Settings > System > System Update.
  3. The device will check for available updates.
  4. If an update is found, tap Download.
  5. Once downloaded, select Install. The device will reboot automatically.

Note: Ensure your battery is above 30% before initiating an update to prevent the device from powering down mid-installation. 🛑 Avoid unknown firmware from forums

Method 3: Using Sunmi Flash Tool (For Advanced Users/Resellers)

This method is typically used by repair centers to recover bricked devices.

Needed:

Process:

  1. Install the Sunmi USB drivers on your PC.
  2. Launch the Flash Tool and load the scatter file.
  3. Power off the Sunmi P1 4G completely.
  4. Click “Download” in the Flash Tool.
  5. Connect the device to PC while holding Volume Down (or certain key combination – check Sunmi documentation).
  6. The tool will detect the device and begin writing firmware.
  7. After completion, disconnect and reboot.

Note: This method voids warranty if performed incorrectly. Only use it if explicitly instructed by Sunmi support.
