Surah Al-Kahf (The Cave) is one of the most spiritually significant chapters of the Quran, especially revered for its protective virtues against the trials of the end times. Specifically, the first 10 and last 10 verses are often highlighted by Islamic scholars for their profound message and unique blessings. The Virtue of Reciting Verses 1-10 and 100-110
Reciting these specific sections is a widespread practice, particularly on Fridays (Jumu'ah), due to several authentic traditions:
Protection from Dajjal: The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ stated that whoever memorizes the first ten verses of Surah Al-Kahf will be protected from the trial of the Dajjal (False Messiah). Some narrations also include the last ten verses as a shield against this great tribulation.
A Source of Light: Reciting the surah on Friday provides a "light" (Nur) for the believer that lasts until the following Friday. This light serves as guidance and clarity, keeping a believer away from doubts and confusion.
Forgiveness of Sins: Some traditions mention that reciting it on Friday leads to the forgiveness of sins committed between the two Fridays. Key Themes in Verses 1–10

Al-hamdu lillahil-ladhi anzala 'ala 'abdihil-kitaba wa lam yaj'al lahu 'iwaja.
[All] praise is [due] to Allah, who has sent down upon His Servant the Book and has not made therein any deviance.
Qayyiman liyundhira ba'san shadidan min ladunhu wa yubashshiral-mu'mininalladhina ya'malunas-salihati anna lahum ajran hasana.
[He has made it] straight, to warn of severe punishment from Him and to give good tidings to the believers who do righteous deeds that they will have a good reward. Makithina fihi abada. In which they will remain forever.
Wa yundhiralladhina qaluttakhadhallahu walada. And to warn those who say, "Allah has taken a son."

Inna ja'alna ma 'alal-ardi zinatan laha linabluwahum ayyuhum ahsanu 'amala.

And indeed, We will make that which is upon it [into] a barren ground.

Am hasibta anna ashabal-kahfi war-raqimi kanu min ayatina 'ajaba.
Or have you thought that the companions of the cave and the inscription were, among Our signs, a wonder?
Idh awal-fityatu ilal-kahfi faqalu Rabbana atina min ladunka rahmatan wa hayyi' lana min amrina rashada.
[Mention] when the youths retreated to the cave and said, "Our Lord, grant us from Yourself mercy and prepare for us from our affair right guidance." Surah Al-Kahf: Verses 100–110

Those whose eyes had been within a cover [removed] from My remembrance, and they were not able to hear.
Afahasiballadhina kafaru an yattakhidhu 'ibadi min duni awliya'. Inna a'tadna jahannama lil-kafirina nuzula.
Do those who disbelieve think that they can take My servants instead of Me as allies? Indeed, We have prepared Hell for the disbelievers as a lodging.
Qul hal nunabbi'ukum bil-akhsarina a'mala.
Say, [O Muhammad], "Shall we [believers] inform you of the greatest losers as to [their] deeds?"

[They are] those whose effort is lost in worldly life, while they think that they are doing well in work.
Ula'ikalladhina kafaru bi-ayati rabbihim wa liqa'ihi fahabitat a'maluhum fala nuqimu lahum yawmal-qiyamati wazna.
Those are the ones who disbelieve in the verses of their Lord and in [their] meeting Him, so their deeds have become worthless; and We will not assign to them on the Day of Resurrection any weight.
