Bella has been transformed into a vampire, finally coming into her own as a powerful and confident protagonist. She and Edward enjoy their new immortal life with daughter Renesmee. However, the Volturi (vampire royalty) falsely believes Renesmee is an immortal child (a forbidden, dangerous vampire turned as a child) and marches to Forks to execute the entire Cullen family.
