Georgiev announced himself with a bang. His debut album, "Atina" (2001), remains a cornerstone of his legacy. At a time when the regional scene was saturated with turbo-folk and established pop heavyweights, Georgiev brought a fresh, slightly rock-influenced pop sound.
The title track, "Atina," was an instant classic. It showcased his signature style immediately: charismatic delivery, slightly raspy vocals, and melodies that were both anthemic and intimate. Tracks like "Nisam ljubomoran" and "Žena bez prošlosti" proved he wasn't a one-hit-wonder.
