Welcome to the neon-drenched, demon-infested metropolis.
City Devil: Restart throws you into the worn-out shoes of Kaito Soma, a washed-up "Debreaker" (demon contractor) who gets a second chance after a catastrophic betrayal. This guide will lead you through every main story beat, side quest, hidden devil fusion, and the elusive "True Restart" ending.
Phase 1: The Apartment & The First Key
After the introductory cutscene, you wake up in a dimly lit apartment. Your first goal is simply to escape the room, but the game doesn't hold your hand. walkthrough city devil restart
- Check the Nightstand: Look at the small table next to the bed. There is a Note containing a date. Memorize this or take a screenshot—you will need it for the keypad later.
- The Wardrobe: Open the wardrobe door. You won't find a key here, but you will find a Screwdriver tucked behind some clothes on the floor.
- The Vent: Use the screwdriver on the vent grate near the ceiling (you may need to drag a chair to reach it). Crawl through to enter the hallway.
Day 3 – Mandatory Dungeon: Sewer of Echoes
Party recommendation: Protagonist (frontline), Lian (healer), Dr. Voss (poison/backup damage).

- Pressure plates – need 2 characters standing simultaneously. Send Dr. Voss to the left plate, protagonist to the right.
- Mirror door – answer riddle "What bleeds but has no wounds?" → The city (type it, don't select from options).
Boss – Ooze King: Splits into 3 blobs when hit with physical attacks. Use Dr. Voss's Acid Bomb (magical) to damage all blobs equally without splitting. Kill all 3 within 2 turns or they recombine with full health. Phase 1: The Apartment & The First Key
Phase 3: The Library & The Color Code
With the power on, head to the main lobby. The front door is locked, requiring a 4-digit code.
- The Library: Go into the library area (left of the lobby).
- The Books: Look for the books on the main shelf. There are four books with colored spines: Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow.
- The Clue: There is a painting on the wall depicting a sunset. The colors of the sunset correspond to the order of the books.
- Solution: Yellow -> Red -> Orange (Brown) -> Dark Blue.
- The Reward: Once the books are arranged correctly, a secret compartment opens behind the shelf. Inside is the Front Door Key and a Strange Coin.
Chapter 5: The King of Greed – Mammon
Objective: Infiltrate the Golden Tower casino.
- Mechanic: The entire tower is a Luck-based dungeon. Your dice rolls determine enemy spawns.
- Save before every floor. Reload if you roll a 1 (spawns a Reaper).
- Miniboss: Slot Machine x3 (Lv. 18) – They use Payout (high random damage). Kill the middle one first. Use Taunt to draw aggro.
- Boss: Mammon (Lv. 22) – He summons Coin Mimics every two turns. Ignore them – focus all damage on Mammon. His weakness is Psychic damage. Fuse a Mokoi (Lv. 17) for the Psi skill.
- Reward: Golden Key (opens any level 1 locked door) + 10,000 yen.
