Note: If you are using the CCT (Custom Character Tools) or Data Editor, ensure you have a "Vanilla" directory pointed out in your settings so the tools can reference original assets when building new ones. 

3. Data Mining and Hidden Content

"Vanilla" files often contain data that is removed or hidden in later updates.

• Unused Assets: Data miners look at vanilla files to find hidden wrestler models, leftover animations from WWE 2K18, or prototypes of features that were cut before release but left in the code.
• Commentary & Music: Original audio files sometimes contain lines or theme songs that were muted or removed in later patches due to licensing issues (e.g., a wrestler leaving the company).
