Review: Pacific Rim: Uprising (2018)

Overall Verdict: A fun but soulless sequel. While it delivers on the promise of giant robots fighting giant monsters, it lacks the visual flair and heartfelt storytelling that made Guillermo del Toro’s first film a cult classic.

A pesar de las críticas mixtas, Titanes del Pacífico recaudó más de 40 millones de pesos en taquilla y se convirtió en un fenómeno de culto. Los fans siguen pidiendo a gritos una segunda parte que expanda el universo:

En 2022, el director Benito Alazraki declaró en una entrevista para Sensacine México que el guion de Titanes del Pacífico 2 estaba "listo", pero que necesitaban una inversión de al menos 5 millones de dólares para superar los efectos de la primera entrega.
